2. Why are cookies necessary?

Why does this website use cookies? Does not it imply saving some of my personal information illegally?
No, absolutely no personal information will be saved unsolicitedly. Cookies allow to cancel possible old shopping carts or to save the current one in the safe SSL of the website so that orders can then be placed.

 

Can I place an order at Ecoporio.eu if I have deactivated the cookies?
No, unfortunately cookies are technically required in order to place orders at Ecoporio.eu.

 

Are cookies then not unsafe?
Because we do not save any personal information through the cookie system without your previous approval this technology can be considered even safer and more comfortable than managing the shopping cart and personal information from the shop server, as we particularly avoid that the shopping cart data or your personal information stay for long periods of time in our server. Likewise, next time you visit the webpage the cookie system will automatically recognize you and save you the inconvenience of registering again.

3. How safe is my personal information?

All personal customer information transfered to us will be handled with absolut confidentiality and not haded over or ceded to others, neither gratuitously nor against payment, except:

 

a) In case of legal requirement, judicial order, legal dispute, tax inspection, etc.

 

b) In case of breach of a contractual obligation between the contractual parties (e.g. additional purchases)

Our staff will gladly take care of your inquiries quickly and professionally and get back to you in maximum two working days time. In case you would like to inquire about an specific product or order process, please use the Hotline system available in the right menu.

5. How does the Shopping Cart work?

As soon as you have finished your shopping tour simply click on the Shopping Cart sign in the upper menu bar or on “Continue order transaction”. You will be inmediately transfered to the Shopping Cart where your chosen products will be shown. At this point you can still delete single items as well as rise or low their quantity. For every change the system updates the total price and recalculates the VAT separately. Once you are ready to proceed with the order simply click on “Continue order transaction”. In the next step you can choose your preferred paying method, and also at this point you can check, validate or change your personal information. When all the required information has been correctly provided, you can proceed with the order by pressing the “Continue order transaction” button. For each ordered item and chosen paying method you will have a range or options; yet in all cases your will be required to accept our General Terms & Conditions. To finish the transaction click on “Complete order”, you will now be shown the final price including possible transportation or delivery expenses. After a few minutes an automatically generated receipt E-Mail will be sent to you. Please print and keep this E-Mail for your own information. The exact delivery costs will now be updated.

6. How does our Shop work?

Our Shop is divided and classified in different categories (good groups) with various subareas. All products are listed with an essential despcription. For additional information simply click on the product picture or link and you will be passed on to the product site. On this site you will find all the detailed information about your chosen product. If you are interested in buying the product, first specify the pertinent amount (which by default is 1) and then press “Into Shopping Cart”. The product will now be listed on your Shopping Cart located on the right upper margin.

7. How can I view or change my user profile?

Using the “Login” button on the right menu you can log in as an existing customer and check your profile as well change any personal information, e.g. address, etc. In order to register as a new customer click on “New Customer”. In case you have forgotten your username or password click on “Password forgotten” to recover them.

8. How long does delivery take?

After being recieved, your order will be inmediatelly processed. The usual delivery time takes around one week after the order was placed. In case a delay in delivery had to take place you would be instantly notified and asked whether you would like to cancel the order or wait for the delivery. This final decision shall be transmitted to us in written form.

9. Have I right of withdrawal?

Of course. In accordance with the distance selling regulations the customer has the right to withdraw from a contract without stating any reasons within 2 weeks after acquisition of goods bought online or, for services, after the ordering date. We will request you to send back to us the goods in perfect state and original package. For further information please read our General Terms & Conditions. Right of withdrawal is excluded to corporate customers.

10. Which paying methods are available at Ecoporio.eu?

Ecoporio.eu makes available for you the following paying methods: Credit card (Visa, Mastercard), PayPal, advance payment, invoice and direct debit. Invoice payment is only possible for corporate customers inside Austria. Direct debit is only available to corportate customers. As soon as we can confirm receipt of payment we will proceed to send you the goods. By invoice payment goods are sent inmediatelly after order has been completed.

11. How does the credit card payment work?

Enter your credit card details (number, expiration date); you will then get a general overview of your order (items, price, delivery costs, VAT, order date, personal information) which you can print. Details will be transmitted in SSL-encrypted form and therefore protected against misuse (you can see the SSL certificate by double-clicking on the small lock that appears on the bottom of the browser window – or on the right side of the address bar in new browsers).

 

Please read and save our General Terms & Conditions. In order to complete your orders you will be requested to click the checkbox “I have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions”. Once you click “Complete order” the transaction will be concluded and you will recieve an automatic overview of the order (receipt).

12. Which delivery options are available?

Our products are delivered to you directly from our suppliers. This allows us to find the supplier/distribution center that is closer to you and thus save time, costs and resources. Suppliers may avail of parcel service providers such as DHL, DPD or the Post. In case several delivery options were available we would give you the chance to choose your preferred provider. ECOPORIO also offers the possibility of compensating the CO2-amount (greenhouse gas) released during transportation. However this is only possible when the manufacturer/supplier/parcel service provider do not perform the compensation themselves and the amount of CO2 is significant enough to be compensated.

13. Problems registering at our Shop?

When you register at our Shop you provide an username (your E-Mail address) and a complementary password. With these username and password you can then access to your details. If you have changed your E-Mail address and have now problems accessing to your details we urge you to use the button “Password forgotten” on the right menu or send us an E-Mail with your details to: office@ecoporio.eu.

16. Why do I need to verify my E-Mail address and what does that mean?

When you register or place an order you are requested to enter your E-Mail address so we can contact you and send you the receipt and other information related to the delivery of the items you purchased. Unfortunately there is no available directory for E-Mails (as there is, for example, for phone numbers) so you could enter a false address (e.g. non-existent or someone else´s). In order to prevent this from happening, E-Mail addresses provided to ECOPORIO must always be verified. This means that every time you re-enter or change your address (e.g. when ordering or registering) this must be verified, and that is why we will send an automatic E-Mail to the provided address. This E-Mail will contain a link and by clicking on this link your E-Mail address will inmediatelly be verified. This way, you will know that no one else can place orders in your name (as only you have access to your E-Mails) and we will know that this E-Mail is linked to the same person as the order and registered customer.
